About Castro Photo...
Castro Photo is a neighborhood photo shop in San Francisco’s Castro district. We’ve been offering what we hope is a unique blend of goods and services since 1986. That includes, among other things, quality photo processing, a selection of frames and albums, a darkroom section, films (both amateur and professional), camera straps, books, bags and even a camera or two. We try to provide some choices, such as medium format and Super 8 films, not usually found in small neighborhood shops. While we cannot offer multiple locations or a corporate logo, we do offer an environment that is child-friendly, student-friendly, dog-friendly and, hopefully, customer-friendly. We are happy to give free advice on politics, art, the meaning of life and even, on occasion, photography. We also display photography, with a different artist featured in our window each month and the work of others displayed inside the store.
